You watched a lot of Johnny Depp movies, but have you seen all of them? Even if you think that you have, you might be surprised. He is known for his odd performances, but are you ready for a lesser-known dose of eccentricity? Here are the 10 Johnny Depp movies that you might not know about:
1. Dead Man
Dead Man is a black-and-white movie, sort of like a Western, where a mortally wounded man meets a Native American man. This man is called Nobody, and he believes William Blake, the mortally wounded man, to be William Blake, the poet. Nobody leads William Blake on a spiritual journey. Throughout the movie, you can enjoy the guitar soundtrack by Neil Young.
2. Ed Wood
Johnny Depp and Tim Burton are known for their weird movies, which usually become hits, but the audience found this movie just too weird. The movie portrays the life of Ed Wood, an infamous director known for his unsuccessful movies in the 50s. Despite the great star cast that, besides Johnny Depp, included Bill Murray and Sarah Jessica Parker, the movie didn’t go well with the audience. Whether you’ll see it is up to you, but it’s definitely one of the Jhonny Depp movies that you might not know about.
3. Benny and Joon

5. Nick of Time
Gene Watson is played by Johnny Depp, and his daughter, played by Courtney Chase, has been kidnapped. This movie is a thriller, it doesn’t last as long as other movies, and it’s probably one of the Johnny Depp movies that you might not know about out.
6. The Ninth Gate
You’d expect a movie involving Roman Polanski and Johnny Depp to become a hit, but the critics were harsh when it comes to this horror movie. Johnny Depp is in the role of a book dealer who discovers “The Nine Gates of The Kingdom of Shadows” which might have been written by the Devil himself.
7. From Hell
From Hell is a story about Jack the Ripper, the infamous murderer that killed prostitutes in 1888. It’s produced by Hughes Brothers and Johnny Depp plays Inspector Frederick Abberline, who’s set out to capture Jack the Ripper. Right at the beginning of The Libertine, John Wilmot, played by Johnny Depp, warns you that you aren’t going to like him. He is an egomaniac who loves wine and women, which leads him to diseases and much more trouble.
